The "body waters" are not distilled. Not even tears. Neither is rain. But, seriously, no matter how many times the point about KIDNEY FUNCTION is pressed on these people, they never have a cogent response. Further, the very premise of drinking distilled water to wash the debris from one's body is based on the fact that they will be peed out. So if you are then drinking your pee, you are putting them back in. I know homeopathy is based on this like cures like thing, but, seriously, sneaking your pee into your children's juice? Giving your pets your pee to drink? Do any of these people ever get around to defining the real... or even the supposed... mechanism by which this is supposed to work?
I mean, here I am! I am manfully pressing forward with my determination to listen to jackasses, to look for every way they might have viable, cogent things to say, and it's so frequently five-year-olds in adult bodies. It isn't even that they're stupid... or "dumbed down"... because they obviously have very nuanced ways of defending their preoccupations. So the fault is not in the equipment, and if it is in the indoctrination, still, the reaction mechanism is faulty as fuck.

Oh, thanks. I won't listen to Noory anymore unless it is recommended in advance. Too much of an ordeal to listen to that disingenuousness and him continually asking questions his guests have just answered and leaving shit right up in the air for the break and never getting back to it. Then, add to that the mountains of self-congratulation, and, well, there's only just so much abuse I can take.
ReplyDeleteOkay. Yes. WELL. He's making claims that directly contradict claims by others of our favorite alternative health people, so... after looking at his website... and his picture... I'm not sold on this action. He looks like death warmed over, and it's not, not, not helping his hair situation... clearly. His prices are motherfucking insane. George loves talking up supplement gougers. So I'm unhappy with this guy.
ReplyDeletePlus. [1] I have cured myself and friends of acid reflux by use of HCL pills with dinner... the problem being that one doesn't produce enough acid to digest dinner completely before bed. Works like a damn charm. Whereas a Tums gives a bit of relief on the moment, but makes the problem worse. [2] Being female, I have experienced the dreaded alkaline twat syndrome, and yeeeeeowch, it sucks. [3] Being of a buddhistic bent, I'm big on balance, even if from a bipolar approach.
I'd say, rather, that we've seen that the green smoothie action cures people of all manner of maladies because of the nutrients in them, not the PH. I'd say, also, that keeping adequately hydrated couldn't help but be helpful, although some people with kidney problems can't handle too much liquid, whatever its purity or PH. If people are losing weight from being alkatarians, it might not be such a good sign. But it might also fight cancer... for along the same reasons as chemo... just maybe not as toxic....
I don't know, but, the thing that sounds the sanest to me is the paleo-diet, because, because, because that is how we were eating before this "civilization" thing started killing us. That makes sense. Eating clean things. Staying away from lab foods. Drinking clean water. Soaking in a bathtub. Breathing clean air between puffs on cigarettes. Perfect. ;p
