For at least a decade I have been irked to speechlessness any time someone mentions that Russia has a problem with corruption, that Putin isn't fixing the corruption in Russia, that Russia is a crap place because of all the corruption. Not even at their worst was the corruption there as bad as it is here, though it was indeed horrific with all those "oligarchs" stealing Russia's wealth [with loans from the West] before anyone could stem the tide enough to keep the people of Russia fed. Yeah. No. The corruption in Russia has never been as bad as it is here.
