Still looking for the big reveal, this huge deal Panama Papers thing, and this seems to be the headline of the Western World this morning. I think this biggest-leak-in-history, but for pissing off Icelanders, seems to have been just another angle on Wendi Deng in a bikini.
However, if you listen to Max and Stacy bantering there for a few minutes, you might start to grok why I stuck to my spoilsport ideas about disappeared trillions not necessarily having to end up in outer space.
They keep forgetting about cyberspace. They keep forgetting about hoarders. They keep forgetting about the fantastic sums needed to keep a fifth column in the GWOT. They do allow for underground bases, but don't seem to think that would take a fucking huge chunk out of their putative space fleet too. And, of course, they also do not know the extent of the secret tech that is purely terrestrial in function and design.
