I have been calling this "weaponized media", but they're weaponizing us against each other. We like to groan and wring our hands about the "dumbed-down" kids, but it's suicide to let it play out, because it's not just dumbing-down at work. It's also the use of that stunted mentality to strip them of morals and anything approximating responsible behavior.
What do they care if we live in a dystopian nightmare? They're all in their magnificent estates and whenever they might need in some disastrous instance to actually make their way through our population centers, they're in bulletproof cars with security details three-sixty.
