In half an hour or so, in Promontory, Utah, NASA will be testing its fancy rocket booster for use propelling people to Mars. RT is streaming it. I can't take the music, and I wonder if I can take the explosion that seems likelier now than it did back when our rockets worked.
I mean, I don't want to encourage BB2, and I think anyone wanting to go there is outright nuts. Just shooting out into space with enough supplies to last a lifetime would be far preferable to Mars in my book, but... they're gonna do what they're gonna do, and I know too many people who insist they will spend this kind of money on this sort of thing JUST to dupe us all, that we already have a space fleet out there in antigravity ships and this is JUST to keep the rest of us deluded.
