Sure it would have been neat if we could have gotten a REAL progressive to rip the psychopaths from their stranglehold on our government, but we didn't! Would that we could have loosed their grip on more brains, but we didn't, and now we have what we have....
A CHANCE!
Trump is no more the brains of this attempt to wrest our country back than Nosbaracktu was the brains behind stripping America of its middle class. We are ALL deeply mistrustful of capitalist pigs being in charge of an attempt to save humanity from vampires bent on global control, on world domination, on full spectrum dominance, on global feudalism, but it so happens to be our only chance.
DON'T WASTE IT!
Stop letting your knee jerk at every word, and immediately distrust your first reaction. Look deeper. The easy way to do this is to just keep pretending The Donald is on your side, that no matter how ugly he looks to you, he's on your side... then see if you can look into it to find evidence for that. You might find it, or you might not, but the IMPORTANT part is that you train yourself to look past your conditioned prejudices to see how people who don't agree with you might still be people of good will.
This all seems so apocalyptic right now because the entire world is hanging in the balance. The neocons got about half way to their goal, maybe further, and it's going to take work to fully strip them of their successes. EVEN if the people doing it are not as altruistic as we think we need, we can't EVER be altruistic in the way that matters to humanity if we do not make the neocons' project into ashes first.
Insofar as the people who will be running our government are insiders who have been against the neocon project and are willing to risk their lives to make sure they are defeated, they need our respect and support, EVEN if we are worried about the poor or the environment or the LGBTQ...XYZ or whatever else we expect from government.
Take it from me! I'm SO poor I can't go out and make a difference if I want to ever eat again. MOST of the rest of my countrymen are nearly as impotent and for the same reason. LOOK at those charts! THAT is what's happened. We've let them steal everything that was keeping us strong enough to stop them.
AND DON'T FORGET THE PSYCHOPATHS OWN THE MEDIA.
YOU HAVE TO LOOK MORE DEEPLY AND THINK MORE DEEPLY.
PLANET EARTH DEPENDS ON IT.
