Would depleting the stores of frozen methane tend to warm the oceans, or would it restore the oceans' ability to sequester more carbon dioxide? And shouldn't we have little armies of guys out lighting the methane bubbles surfacing on frozen lakes? Could rising methane levels be staving off another ice age? Could aircraft be designed to suck in methane out of the atmosphere and use it to keep themselves perpetually aloft? Are we dead?

pipe up any time....
