So I listened, too, and I think he wants the contract of his dreams, even if he is correct about the river rock being used in the sloped earthen backing to the dam. I mean, what about the silt collection from the streams dumping into that dam? That would continually be refilling the "fines" between the river rocks he thinks are letting water through.
No question maintenance has been for shit, but also 99.99% no question that sucker was built to never catastrophically fail... and hard to believe the public cannot get its hands on the original plans and all maintenance records. I am ready to believe I have been misinformed about how the dam was built, or have misled myself about the whole thing after having gotten a good gander at half of it, but I, of course, don't think so, and this fucker sounds like a liar who wants to sound like an expert.
There are a couple million seriously nefarious reasons to create so much anxiety and questioning and inconvenience around this thing, but only ONE reason to review the documents that HAVE to be public information; one involving environmental activism, which is hardly worth mentioning because it would NEVER happen; and one horse shit excuse about terrorist targeting.
