I keep thinking these splendiferous highway fixes they've been doing over the last decade are going to turn the Coast Highway back into its old strong and treacherous self and all will be as it ever was since I was born, but no. They just mount in number and even some of them have to be done over before they're really fully done at all.

The trip down into the rest of the world has been made significantly shorter than in historic highway lore a few times now, through the use of bypasses and bridges to the opposite side of a river where the hillside isn't sliding into it, but it's longer again because there are SO many places where it's down to one lane, light controlled, traffic to accommodate all the construction and reconstruction.

And... the rainy season is upon us again.

And, for fucksakes, tomorrow isn't Saturday.
