Well, the point is that there are better and worse forms of capitalism and we surely don't have any of the better ones. There also are better and worse forms of socialism or communism. The problem is not the form of monetary system. It's that there's a monetary system at all... because as long as there is greed, or psychopathy, or power madness, or bullies who just will NOT endure your shit so long as they can force you out of it, the monetary system will be their way to cement their control over you... any one we've ever had, including barter, and any one we can ever think up.
So long as morality and self-respect are not the only reasons anybody does anything for anybody, including themselves, the suffering flows. Even if there is an occasional ebb, it will keep flowing.
