If you have local stores to keep alive, you should do it, but failing that, and it's all but failed already in most towns, use Etsy or eBay or whatever, before you resort to Amazon or any big corporate outlet in meatspace or cyberspace. I'm not any happier about the loss of jobs than you are, but do your best to keep your money at a local credit union or small bank, and buy as little as possible from the big boyz. There are options, and it feels a LOT better to use those.
