It irks me every time. You probably don't notice it in the metropolitan areas, but do you know that box stores get special traffic signals put in for people to more easily be able to turn left in or out of their parking lots? They do. One could argue it's safer, and it would be a good point, but also one could argue box stores and their parking lots and special traffic lights kill communities and it would be THE point.
