If global warming resumes/continues, though, someday, that whole region will be a bonanza for farmers. I think it's darn beautiful now, but also could be the bread basket of the planet when the times are tougher at the lower latitudes.
My 94-year-old neighbor was griping to me about global warming the other day. We were both pleased as punch about the return of the fog, even though that always means it's much hotter inland. She said, though, that some people don't hold with this global warming thing. I told her I thought it was global weirding, but in any case, I don't think anyone's arguing that the climate is bonkers, just the cause of the bonkers climate. That is disputed.
And rightfully.
