I have great respect for anyone who can admit such catastrophic mistakes when it's far more usual they will — metaphorically and rhetorically — beat you to death for even expressing skepticism or questioning the judgment of those who'd risk a child's entire physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing to prove to their peers how openminded they are.
