Though lots of his paintings are lovely, I always preferred Degas... and, then, when advised by my grandmother to really look hard, I went ass over tea kettle for Van Gogh. I'm not even going to blame him for having it so good when Vincent fared so poorly. If Vincent could have lived to a ripe old age, he'd have put Renoir in the shade, success-wise, too.

Another year passes in Khoonkhwuttunne the same as all the ones before. At two minutes to midnight the guy across the highway starts shooting into the air and stops at one minute after. At three minutes after midnight the sound of cars starting and driving off. Then... it's just like last year again.
