This arthritis bullshit is about to kill me. My skeleton seems to be crunching in upon itself in my sleep and causing great pain and difficulty until I can arrange myself at my desk chair into a ridiculous position that rearranges the general state of collapse in there.

It doesn't work very well or for very long, and I'm having to up my MSM intake to the point where I can't get far from my toilet, work at it all day in order to get back in bed and crunch back up again.

I am UNhappy as fuck about this... and it did NOT help to hear Russell Crowe going on about the ludicrously expensive treatment from Ways 2 Well that has given him back his movement and erased his arthritis pain.

Well, I mean, I'm really happy to hear Mr. Sexy Voice is getting his life back. I don't begrudge him. Just... if HE's griping about the expense, there's NO way I can ever get the help.

So I'm back to wishing for space aliens to fix me.

And I really do love him to bits, this H-1B visa abuse has to stop. I get it. They're darn handy when you have investors hounding you for ROI. I really do. But investors need to learn patience AND realistic expectations, and American workers need the wages they worked hard to be worth.

I get it when we REALLY don't have enough qualified people, too, but it's not clear to me that this is usually the case. Established businesses are FIRING their qualified help and hiring the cheaper H-1B people who are clambering to get into our country. It's NOT about preventing bankruptcy. It's about increasing profit, wowing the stock market, with that old, familiar excuse.

But I'm having trouble reading those tea leaves from his actions — aside from his singularly determined AT ANY COST insistence on the passage of the BBB, mowing down anyone in his way — so if she is right, we can take refuge in that thought when the vote total comes out in the House shortly.

If she's just dreaming... maybe not really up to date on the state of our manufacturing base and how long it'll take to make it big enough to pay for this ludicrous state of fiscal profligacy we so desperately revile. That's not "British", not "Austrian"... it's just plain unsustainable debt service for anyone... even us.

The original story, the Lutnick/Musk Approach, was draconian, at least a hunnert years overdue and promised to shorten the duration of our pain by quite a lot... and we were were ALL willing to endure that. Now, while there will be some more relief for a few, mostly those of us on the lowest income rung, we will still be paying taxes both overt and nested in prices... for much longer.
