Could've lived and died ten times without the came-saw-died bit, for one....

Probably the only nice thing about this election for me will have taken place tonight in New Hampshire. What's nice about it is thinking of all the good-hearted people who don't want another psychopath in power. I don't think Bernie in the White House will impede them at all, but I'm quite heartened to see the progressive-fascists haven't quite taken over the population yet.

Most of the people I trust are sworn to vote for Bernie if he's nominated, and for a third party if he's not. I think that is reasonable for anyone still struggling over the question between not just handing over their vote and refusing to vote on the grounds that the system is corrupt. I see both sides of that. I don't think either will be effective.

The only hope left is for people to stop letting psychopaths bully them with cognitive dissonance, and to do that you have to stop being in your mind like the woman dithering for hours between the green and the red party dresses in her closet, finally settling on the red because red has more mystery about it, when the choice for this party is the black one she doesn't own yet. You do something analogous to that every time you decide on anything.

That's not freedom. That's not critical thinking. That's pure abjection to cognitive dissonance, no matter what you only call it. We make the world. The world can be anything we want it to be. That's why the psychopaths work this hard to back you into your party dress closet every direction you turn.

always and any time....
