I have to just call it as I see it, and it strikes me that the stuff that was recorded on digital sounds better than the stuff that was recorded on vinyl and transferred to digital. YouBube's ruined a fuck ton of transcendentally cool Santana music... but not this piece.
I don't think the answer is going back to vinyl. I think it is in making digital as good, and it's nowhere near as good. Same with cameras. Digital is nowhere near as good... though it does a better job of transferring from analog to digital than sound does.
