What happens is you are conditioned to treat life as though you are its audience. It's not life. It's a tv show, a movie, a video. Other humans are not other humans. They are caricatures, cartoons, actors on screen, the screen that never is not right in front of you. Nature is also not nature. It's a spectacle. You interact with reality as one does with virtual reality. Real reality is beyond your ken.
