I remember feeling elated about Al Franken converting Ariana Huffington to the Democratic Party. I thought humor had worked on a legendarily vicious Republican operative, made her see the light. I think, rather, it had to have been Newt Gingrich telling her the psychopaths had moved over to backing the Democratic Party. We just didn't figure it out in time.
