Trying manfully not to hate John McCain... tried excusing him on account of his miserable time as a POW... and also because every now and then he'd show a flash of silly humanity. Didn't work.
He never would've been a POW to begin with if he had not been such a completely untrainable heedless hotdog entitled twat from the git. He crashed something like FIVE fighter aircraft over the course of his career. ALL of them while doing verboten show-off moves.
He and all of the rest of us, were, in fact, safer while he was being held by the Vietnamese.
