They must be bored, or out of ideas, because it was determined quite a while back that numerous fast food restaurants, food producers, capitalist pigs, were mixing "edible" plastic into their "food" to eke more profit from the same amount of production as ever. We totally GOT it back then.
I'm choosing to take a positive attitude about these studies because [1] it means plastics are breaking down naturally; and [2] we are pooping at least some of it out.
