During my month out in Belize, which immediately turned into a month out in Guatemala due to my inability to bear the heat in the lowlands, a parrot adopted me, never left my side unless his "owner" came and locked him in his cage for a nap. He shared my morning coffee with me. He helped me eat my guacamole and toast. He took great care of me.
