Our little snap of springlike seems to have reverted to winter. It rained here a couple days ago and left snow up a few hundred feet. Quite a nice effect, overall, and so I'm trying not to bitch about the inches of frost every morning again. The weather is just plain completely not like it has been in my whole life. I keep reminding myself that in the grand scheme of things, that's not the least bit weird, but I am somewhat vexed by the huge deal they're making out of a couple feet of snow on the east coast.
I don't know what to think. I've heard people from there bitching about what wusses we are about driving in the snow here. I keep being told they are the experts in that action over there. But, well, I'm really confused. I remember being up at Tahoe one year when I was a little kid. We ended up extending our little stay due to getting snowed in. When we got there it was just basic Tahoe... with wisps of snow around the edges. When we looked out from our motel room the next morning we couldn't see our car in the parking lot. We couldn't see any cars in the parking lot.
It went from barely any snow on the ground to a maze of paths, of narrow corridors through snow banks way over our heads, to the stores and casinos. So this big hairy deal they are making about two feet of snow... no excuse me, after the Daily Mail, TWO FEET of snow... has me a bit bewildered....
