Even when you can verify that, strictly speaking, they are telling the truth, the pieces are so adulterated with propaganda it's bad for the storehouse consciousness to even let it slide under your eyeballs. Truly. When in heavy conversation, or in an argument, or when you're not clear on details, your brain dips into your storehouse consciousness to help shove your lips [or fingers] along in a coherent manner. That is why repeating a lie often enough turns it into the truth.
Yes, yes, yes, a lie can never actually become the truth, but we do not rely on the actual around this planet. We rely on consensus.
