As you may recall, I'm darn impatient with Neil Kramer. He has done a couple seriously good lectures and interviews, so I try betimes to pay attention to him again, at least a little. He too often goes off with his lips not connected to his brain, and it makes me crazy. He can get away with it because he's got the lingo down. He can make nice innocent credulous types believe he's being deep when he's just being a jackass. But, truly, he does sometimes hit it out of the park. I don't know if he's doing it here. I just switched it on. I just decided I'd give it another go, while in the midst of searching out new sources for good listening.

Sometimes going to speakers' or writers' or researchers' sites yields up evidence of new podcasting outlets... new places to find people talking about our subjects... and so I'm also assessing if these guys are worth bookmarking.

I'm feeling deprived because, evidently, Michael Tsarion has given up making everyone else popular in favor of supporting himself. He hasn't been out there talking to anyone for free for months and months. Now if you want to hear him talk you have to go over to TwitFace and sign up for paid video Q&As. Ten bucks a pop. I can't gripe because if ever there were someone worth paying to see and hear, it would be him, but, well, that needs must leave me out. Goddammittalltofuckinghell.

Some of the better podcasts have gone subscription only, or half commercial and half subscription. Some have just dried up and gone away. And some are still going but piss me off too badly to keep trying to hear. So I'm needing some new diggings, and I'm digging.
