This is maybe the number one reason why I take issue with Jan Irvin's snide little thesis involving Terence and his ilk. If, as he insists, our generation was drugged to render us permanently impotent, then why did they then nuke us with "afluenza"? Somewhere around the mid-seventies I noticed our ranks shrinking alarmingly. Was this due to disenfranchisement and dissolution? It was not. It was due to scores, nay, thousands of us being hauled into utterly fantastically-paying jobs on the basis of nothing whatsoever. Only a few of us could not swallow the immorality of it and dropped out of that too. The Flower Children were turned by gobs and gobs of money. No. REALLY.
