too many people

In an ecosystem that can't support them.

I think, though, that it's time we found ways to get some real idea of how many people are left on earth... because it's spring... and we have been getting a lot of rain. Yes, the LA basin has not gotten much, but much more than usual. For my whole life, this stuff happened in the fall, after the long hot summer and during what was always called "indian summer"... which was usually hotter than summer... during the SANTA ANA WINDS. Winds dry the landscape even more than heat does. Not only is the weather completely kittywampus but something is rotten in Denmark....

Maybe our population is falling faster than we think.

Maybe that's why so many neighborhoods are burning down these days.

Maybe we ought to check.
