If I could have a Victorian cut. I once hosted a garden party in a skirt and blouse I rented from a costume shop. I didn't need a corset to fit in that outfit. It was a simple black skirt with a small bustle and a simple white fitted blouse with long sleeves. I just braided my hair and put it up in the Victorian style. Everybody who attended, mostly strangers, raved about how beautiful I looked. I certainly felt beautiful that day. The net effect was a most wonderful line. The biggest bummer of all was that we had been planning this party for weeks. I was in charge of everything, and on the day I was hit with the most thunderous cold of my life. I spent the entire time with my hanky in hand, and most of the time with it held to my nose.
