another insider battle to consider

I have not brought up the little problem of DHS duplicating almost every government agency we've got, and certainly all the ones needed to prop up a frankly totalitarian state, in a long time. Nowadays, it's less clearcut than even ten years ago.

It's to the point where, if it pertains to government, or government contractors, from any department or agency, from any branch, or even from things that used to be auxiliary to these, like the press and the military and police and think tanks and PACs, the reliable bits to bear in mind are the corruption and perfidy and baldfaced lies and abuses of power and covert ops and brutality and psychopathy and overweening supremacy of meretriciousness motivations.

It's not bad enough that we've got mobsters running the global empire. They're fighting each other for supremacy and various wise guys are cutting out separate niches for themselves and I just want to remind you that there are lots of moles from the set of all decent humans, invisible to us as they may be, in that godforsaken quagmire of criminality, too.

It's outright impossible to tell the good guys from the bad guys in this atmosphere because, in every direction, the degree of secrecy and deceit and perfidious intent is so extreme nobody can actually tell their ass from a hole in the ground anymore.

always and any time....
