We've had record-breaking rain over the last 24 hours... twice the old record... and I kept looking at the radars and stats for it and all I saw was a big storm sitting over Humboldt and Del Norte. It was coming from the south. Clicking between weather imaging and stats, that's all I kept getting. The precipitation looked to be forming up at around the Lost Coast area and running up to maybe Gold Beach and just drenching us for a full day. Didn't appear to move off. The stats for precipitation stayed at the forecast .4" all night. It was raining straight through. It sort of went up and down in intensity, but never really stopped... at least not until sometime entirely too close to dawn for me to still be aware of it....

I know this sucks for you guys south, but... strikes me that if the drought were that bad here, you would be way more miserable than you are now because I'd be screaming and tearing your hair out over my redwood trees.

Okay, are the radars lying?
