But it probably won't be the rain that sends the forest into the watercourses. That probably won't be until we get some real storms. But it might put some of these out.

Coon Fire
Kept fire within existing perimeter and continued to fire, mop and hold approximately three miles of fire line on west side of fire. Crews continued to provide for structure defense in the communities of Paradise Flats and Rock Creek.
Bear Fire
Continued to patrol, hold, and fire the east and south perimeters outside of the wilderness area. Continued firing and holding on the west side of the fire perimeter and continued to prepare a dozer line from 17N05 Road down to South Siskiyou Creek.
Peak/Feeder Fire
Feeder Fire is 100% contained, monitoring continues. Monitoring continues on the Peak Fire while preparing contingence lines on the northwest and southwest sides outside the wilderness boundary.
Night operations:
Focus will be shifting from the Feeder and Coon Fires to the Bear and Peak Fires.
Coon Fire: Keep the fire within existing perimeter. Continue to fire, mop and hold approximately three miles of the fire line on west side of fire. Continue mop and holding of approximately seven miles of line on the north, east, and south sides. Provide for structure defense along the southwest side of the South Fork of the Smith River.
Bear Fire: Continue firing and hold the west side and prepare a dozer line from 17N05 Road down to South Siskiyou Creek. Continue direct attack, hold and mop on south side of fire. Monitor fire progression within the wilderness area.
Translation: The feds want to burn down the wilderness areas and hold the fires out of private holdings. They didn't ask anyone's permission and nobody's stopping them. This would be why we were listed as docile on that Jade Helm map, I guess.
Forecast is still 100% for a quarter inch of rain late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
