GASQUET COMPLEX FIRES | 17,723 acres, 20% containedBetween the asphalt and gravel dust from the new water main work in the road and the smoke from the fires, my airway is not working optimally. Last night my need for deep enough sleep was fighting hard with these factors and I don't even think you could call that racket "snoring".

Coon Fire: Night shift conducted a precautionary burn around the Tollefson Ranch but had to stop due to high relative humidity. Day shift will try to complete this mission. The rest of firing operations have been completed and lines are holding. Assessing options and clearing brush around the water supply line in the Deer Creek drainage.
Bear Fire: On the northwest portion of the fire, dozers and crews completed line to the South Fork of the Siskiyou River, which is being used as a containment line. The 16N05 Road continues to hold as the west line. Options are being evaluated for a south fire line.
Peak: Suppression options are being evaluated. Remains unstaffed for day shift.
Feeder Fire: The G-O Road is still being staffed by resources to hold the last bit of active fire.
The inversion is expected to lift early this afternoon, which could drop relative humidity as low as 20 – 30% and raise temperatures to 75 – 80º. Ridge winds are expected to be from the south 6 – 12 mph with gusts to 20 mph.
The compromise was that I incorporated that noise into my dreams, so the headache didn't wake me up today and probably none of my neighbors got any sleep.
