I mean, they've, of course, not softened actually, but they know when to back off until they can apply enough more pressure in certain places — expect more negative press on Merkel — or even a "terror" attack on Germany — to proceed. Still, the part-machine people can't really win against truly intelligent opposition. I just wish there were a way to not only oust them from power, but to prevent them ever reacquiring it.
