I remember distinctly a certain resident of St. Louis panhandling for the money to buy a geiger counter and running all over the area to report the preposterously high fallout from Fukushima. Sort of like the Surfers Beach readings at the tide line. NOT from Japan either, but from the leaking barrels dumped just off the Farallon Islands.
