I fell in.
Trying to find out if somebody was related to somebody else this morning, I thought to quickly google my supposedly full blooded injun gramma, and all miraculously found a bit I'd never known before.
She came from a family of fourteen children and two very active parents, only one of whom, it is thought, was an injun, but there are quite a few cousins of one ilk or another who all heard the same story about my grandmother and at least some of her thirteen siblings, but nobody's coming up with the definitive information... or nobody's telling online if they have.
I at least know the names of my great grandparents now, and maybe my great great grandparents... but I don't think I've moved in twenty or thirty years, or twelve hours, I'm not sure.
...
And it's official, I am extremely "American". The very last of my ancestors on this continent got here well over a hundred years ago, and the first of them maybe millions of years ago. The ones in the middle seem to have gotten here in the early 1600s and the mid-1800s... and I'm third generation Marin native... in exile.
always and any time....
