Why people are such idiots about this holiday. It every year feels the more agonizing to me to know this is not what our boys died for. If they could have looked into the future and seen this, they would've done what our boys did in Vietnam. They'd've kept killing their officers until it was called off.
As it was, though, they could not see this coming and they did die for us... out of love for us... and it is a mercy the size of Jupiter they didn't live to see this.
Of course, if they'd lived, this wouldn't have happened.
