I have it in my mind that Pammy either got him out or got him word that Kerry was coming to get him, that his escape was effectuated, that Gavin succumbed to his wounds in the process of effectuating this escape... or resisting interrogation from thugs looking for Julian... and his reduced communications have been because it's not safe to do so without extreme precautions.
So somebody should make this part of their next espionage novel... maybe also giving Julian Bourne level skills on top his already godly ones.
