If anyone would have believed me about my mother, none of this would be even a little surprising. And it is a wonder to me how many others can draw the parallels between behaviors observed in childhood and what's going on out there in the world right now.
On the one hand, that sounds like a dumb question, but on the other, it really amazingly doesn't seem to me that most others can do that. I'm flummoxed by it, and that's no brag.
