They are really desperate now, lighting the economic flames with "trade wars" and trying to give people "chemical attacks" on which to take out their frustrations, just like they always have done when they want something heinous badly enough. So many people just automatically assume that world wars are the only way out. It's been pounding into them since childhood.

Also, it has ALWAYS been a bluff or a lame excuse, and completely under psychopath control, from propagandized problem to fanning the flames of reaction to completely unacceptable solution... just privileged oligarchs in spats over who gets ultimate control... the gaming that has replaced their compassion since birth... the imperative to win being something like our imperative to eat... but we're never not the ones doing the dying.

It is heartening that our reactions to their problems are not so full of credulity anymore that they can just go ahead and act like we are behind them with their vicious solutions, but too often they do just that, and we don't stop them.

We better stop them.

I just noticed this is post 11911 on this blog.

Am I superstitious?

You, please, just notice the date on this forewarning....

Keep this in mind:
I have never ruled out the possibility that Russia is responsible for the attack in Salisbury, amongst other possibilities. But I do rule out the possibility that Assad is dropping chemical weapons in Ghouta. In this extraordinary war, where Saudi-funded jihadist head choppers have Israeli air support and US and UK military “advisers”, every time the Syrian army is about to take complete control of a major jihadist enclave, at the last moment when victory is in their grasp, the Syrian Army allegedly attacks children with chemical weapons, for no military reason at all. We have been fed this narrative again and again and again.

We then face a propaganda onslaught from neo-con politicians, think tanks and “charities” urging a great rain of Western bombs and missiles, and are accused of callousness towards suffering children if we demur. This despite the certain knowledge that Western military interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya have had consequences which remain to this day utterly disastrous.

I fear that the massive orchestration of Russophobia over the last two years is intended to prepare public opinion for a wider military conflict centred on the Middle East, but likely to spread, and that we are approaching that endgame. The dislocation of the political and media class from the general population is such, that the levers for people of goodwill to prevent this are, as with Iraq, extremely few as politicians quake in the face of media jingoism. These feel like extremely dangerous times.
And don't keep it to yourself.

Same vessel whose communications Russia disabled with harassing planes before... and I note that suddenly Google renders attempts to debunk the April 2014 incident in the Black Sea, but since I read the military admissions that it occurred and those pages are now dead, I'm going out on a limb to assert that either they hardened the Donald Cook somehow against electronic attack or there may well be a replay in progress right now, before anyone commits to the purpose of positioning it near Syria.

The international chemical weapons watchdog will send a fact-finding mission to Douma, Syria, to investigate the reports of an attack there. The move follows calls from Moscow and Damascus to launch an international investigation.

“Today, the OPCW Technical Secretariat has requested the Syrian Arab Republic to make the necessary arrangements for such a deployment. This has coincided with a request from the Syrian Arab Republic and the Russian Federation to investigate the allegations of chemical weapons use in Douma. The team is preparing to deploy to Syria shortly,” the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said in a statement on Tuesday.

The OPCW’s announcement came shortly before an expected UN Security Council meeting on the alleged Douma incident. Both Russia and the US are expected to roll out draft resolutions calling for an international investigation into the purported attack. On Monday, the UN said it was unable to “independently verify the allegations” regarding Douma.

The US will deploy the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier for a mission to the Middle East and Europe on Wednesday, according to the US Navy.

The aircraft carrier will set sail with seven attack ships and will carry 6,500 sailors. It will travel alongside the German frigate FGS Hessen during the first part of its journey.

The USS Harry S. Truman will replace the USS Theodore Roosevelt Strike Group, which recently completed a four-month deployment to the Middle East.

The guided-missile destroyer the USS ‘Donald Cook’ has also left Cyprus and is moving into the eastern Mediterranean, according to earlier reports. The Arleigh Burke-class warship carries 60 Tomahawk cruise missiles on board.

The military maneuvers come as the White House has threatened military action against Syria for an alleged chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma. US President Donald Trump has said he is meeting with advisers and deciding on a response to the incident.

“We have a lot of options militarily, and we’ll be letting you know pretty soon,” Trump told reporters on Monday.

The Russian military, which investigated the site of the alleged chemical attack, said, however, that “no traces” of chemical weapons could be found.
So, basically, not unilaterally bombing anything, just making muscular movements.
