Bleating about tree loss in the forests has been going on for at least forty years... and yet we still have trees, and while there are certainly areas decimated or undermined greatly by human depredation, one of the perks of rising carbon dioxide levels is how much healthier it makes plant life and forest regrowth.

I mean, you guys know I am a rabid defender of forests, especially redwood forests, but this crying wolf business is now outright counterproductive. Nobody believes it anymore, or cares, because of your relentless bleating. I bet if someone went back and added up all the tree loss reported over the past nearly five decades, we'd come up with a number at least double the number of trees ever on this planet.
