It's sticking at nine confirmed deaths, but I don't feel very secure that it will stay stuck at nine. I pitched my fit about this elsewhere and will spare you the exposition of how smart I am to know what a fire chief's job is and who should be in charge of this stuff, okay? I've been tearing up and then kicking things all day.

Was adding links to my original post today, too.

I want to curl up into a ball and hope for a better tomorrow, but, even though the Red Flag winds have shifted back to a normal weather pattern and the fire will be markedly slower and less likely to take any runs, it just really means now it has a chance to hunker down and burn what it might've missed on the first pass.

I'm hoping we don't reach top spot on California's top twenty list for deadliness too.
