Just struck me that maybe part of the reason Egyptian mummies are so damn hard to find is because they were trying to protect them from cataclysm. I know, I know, tomb robbers, right? But they would as well have simply guarded them in perpetuity... which has worked just fine for many relics of Western "civilization". So... well, just a thought.
