You need to know that Japanese people have long treated Koreans as a lower life form. You think there's racism here? Pfeh. Child's play. Even at Buddhist monasteries in Japan a Korean monk is seen as and treated like scum. It's not just isolated pockets of xenophobic losers. It's mainstream. It's completely incorporated into society.
