What part of "shall not be infringed" don't you understand? I saw the unedited footage of it a bunch of times, and it kept being taken down, even though the whole service was being live streamed and there is NO question about what went down. Media have been doing their best to muddle or obscure the stark truth, but the facts are clear.
The gunman got off two shots in rapid succession, killing one man and badly injuring another, before an armed parishioner, in AS rapid succession, shot him dead. There were at least four, and some reports say seven, people who immediately made for the dead gunman with their weapons out... meaning, they'd all drawn to stop him and they all advanced to make sure he stayed dropped.
A friend of mine today remarked that banning guns doesn't keep them away from criminals, we ALL know it, government and citizens and police, so WHY doesn't this debate go away?
