I think this is the third wave exodus of companies from California to Texas in my lifetime.
And even more migrations of citizens out, but never to match the waves of people coming in. It's beyond the pale now, and I do hate to foist people off onto other states, but I might end up being one of them if all else fails.
I'm not worried about Texas. They're very hard to California enough. But Arizona and Colorado and Oregon are already screaming bloody murder.
And, you know, I should've gotten an appointment with the Portuguese contingent in San Francisco while I was there. See how feasible it would be to haul my ancient DNA back to my family's home island in the Azores.
