There are statutory limits on prosecutions for federal crimes. I think most of them are five years, and that would mean, I think, indictments have to come before the election, depending on exactly when the statute starts tolling. Usually, it's from the time it occurred, but sometimes it's from the time it becomes known it occurred.
I'm unclear on the specifics, but very clear on the POINT and you need to throw this into your mental mix when determining for yourself whether the pandemic is live or Memorex.
