I think, if there's any ACTUAL cause for concern, the idea is that once enough young people have become immune, the herd will be immune. What they mean by herd immunity is that when enough people can't catch it anymore, there won't be anymore spread.
It just keeps seeming to me as though this isn't ACTUALLY any different than the annual flu. They're just hyping it for all they are worth this year.
