The box store monopoly problem was allowed to fester so long the gangrene just means more and more loss. Just look at it as that. Gangrene left so long, cutting off the toe doesn't save the foot, and the denial forestalling the foot loss requires the removal of a leg. But that, too, has already been put off so long, it's in parts we can't any longer safely cut off.
Antitrust laws are there for a very good reason, but they've been ignored/mishandled so long there's nothing left to cut off. We've let psychopaths kill us with gangrene. We the People are dying of gangrene.
