It's as though they have no recognition for how thoroughly the public has been trained to immediately switch off their critical thinking on that basis alone. The more they invoke the Lord, the worse it gets, when if they would just tone it down, maybe just gently tap on that bible, people could find their way out of their fog and connect with what is actually being said.
Personally, I am far more offended by the people who just switch off over it, than I am by the Christians going overboard, because it is SO disrespectful and SO brainless to do that, but... well... that's, obviously, just me.
